Shop design

This shop was designed for the exhibitors of Hidden treasures exhibition, in collaboration with Chris Dichmann (Hidden treasures was one of the locations during the Dutch Design week 2014).
We came up with the idea to use blue champignon crates, to create blue gradient stages in the rather light, but rough environment of old Philips building. To separate the shop area from the area of the restaurant we stretched long white threads all the way from the ceiling down to the floor. By that we have kept the space visually open but physically divided.
We bought the crates from the local food distributor and were able to return them for almost the same price afterwards.
